A Midsummer Wedding at Vaulty Manor
Nestled in the heart of the Essex countryside, Vaulty Manor offers the perfect blend of rustic charm and elegance, making it a fairytale backdrop for any couple’s celebration. With traditional timber beams, exposed brick walls and expansive gardens, Vaulty Manor offered a warm and welcoming atmosphere for Amy and Alfie’s summer celebration. It was a pleasure to be on hand to capture every detail of their day and I invite you to enjoy a glimpse of their special day unfolding…
While their love story began in high school, Amy and Alfie now share a little girl who played the sweetest role as their flower girl. A wonderful twist of fate, Amy and I first met at her best friend’s wedding, which I also had the honour of photographing. Neither bride realised they had booked the same photographer until later, making this wedding an extra special reunion! Their July wedding started with those all-important final touches of wedding décor and preparations. Guests were greeted by an elegant acrylic welcome sign that was perched upon a rustic wooden easel – which set the tone for a modern yet classic feel. The indoor ceremony space was equally beautiful, with rows of wooden chairs dressed in white draping tied with posies.
The bride-to-be took everyone’s breath away as she walked down the aisle in a timeless lace gown from Confetti & Lace, with her hair styled in a classic up-do that perfectly framed her smile. Alfie awaited his soon-to-be wife at the end of the aisle in a dapper suit from Slater Menswear, beaming with pride as he watched his high school sweetheart approach him. Wearing stylish satin off-the-shoulder gowns in sky blue, the bridesmaids complemented the fresh and summery feel of the day. They carried simple yet graceful gypsophila bouquets, which worked in harmony with the rest of the floral design by Samantha May Floristry. CJC Brows & Make-Up (one of Amy’s own bridesmaids) was on hand to create flawless make-up looks for the bridal party, adding a further layer of sentiment to the morning preparations. Their aisle style was completed with fabulous hair styling by Hair by Sarah Wade.
Following a heartfelt ceremony, the wedding celebrations continued in Vaulty Manor’s stunning reception space. Dainty bud vases were filled with ivory blooms, creating understated yet impactful centrepieces for the guest tables during the wedding breakfast. Amy and Alfie had thought of everything, with each guest receiving a personalised iced biscuit as delicious edible wedding favours. Meanwhile, their acrylic name cards were finished with soft green ribbon, tying their on-the-day stationery and styling together seamlessly.
The couple opted for a beautiful (and delectable) cupcake tower from The Perfect Batch. Guests were treated to a selection of cupcake flavours, including Victoria sponge, cherry bakewell and lemon drizzle. The tower went down an absolute treat amongst their friends and family, adding to the fun and relaxed vibe of their wedding.
With photograph backdrops galore at Vaulty Manor for their couple portraits, it was truly special having the opportunity to capture every moment of their magical celebration!
